Friendly with Fire!

I collect old cookbooks and my 1961 edition of Time Life states, and I quote, “grilling is a man’s job.”. Despite being a trained cook, I must admit to having followed that edict all of my life and left the outdoor cooking to my husband. This is embarrassing to admit. But I have finally broken out the giant grilling tongs and gotten to work. I made marinated pork tenderloins last night which were perfectly cooked and with July 4th weekend upon me, I am feeling adventurous. I’ve got some chicken thighs in the fridge which I am thinking of marinating in something lemony and spicy and wraping in naan- not traditional for the holiday weekend but delicious just the same. Perfect finger food to eat around the Fancy Fire Pit!
